I am a Vancouver-based graphic designer with many years of experience behind me. I was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and it was there I learned my trade. I combined my love of music and the visual arts and worked as graphic designer and editor for several Dutch music papers. My graphic design clearly reflects my European roots with its timeless, strong, and bold-yet-clean style.
Life led me to Seattle and I began working for the Northwest's largest AIDS service organization, where I gained experience in designing for special fundraising events such as the annual AIDS Walk, as well as undertaking the visual identity for all their marketing and educational materials.
I am currently freelancing and loving the variety it offers. I believe successful graphic design is about conveying an idea in a visual way. By listening to the stories behind my clients' projects I can create a piece that supports and enhances the story and makes the message the center of the design.
